-Novelli's Newbie Leveling Guide For All Classes-

Recommended Posts

-Why?-

Although there is already a newbie guide for leveling, I have still seen many new players asking how to level. The previous guide is slow to start and does not benefit every class.

I have always found that it is easier to farm gear after you are already max. So here is a guide for every class and the quickest way to level them in a short amount of time, no farmed gear required.

I will provide an overview of how the class can be played and what benefits it can offer to a team as well as an estimated time of how long it should take you to reach max level. This time may vary a little bit depending on luck with mobs, luck with damage rolls and general leveling speed of the class. If you already have equipment to use, you should absolutely use them and you will be able to half the estimated time.

So without further delay, equip your Newbie Halo and Newbie Wings and let's go.

-Transcendent Classes-

Overview

Lord Knights have access to a large variety of powerful skills, with the advantage of most of them not requiring Kiel Cards to spam. This makes them an excellent first class as they can use this farm items quickly and even kill MvPs. Lord Knights are also valuable members in WoE and Battlegrounds due to their huge PvP damage output, excellent survivability and access to PecoPecos. Throughout this guide we will be using Bash and Bowling Bash as our attacking skills and Endure, Parrying and Berserk to help us survive. Lord Knights are slow to level up at first but after attaining max ASPD and instant cast Lord Knights level up very quickly with Bowling Bash.

-Novice-
Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

-Swordsman-
Go to the mall at @go 39 and purchase a Fisherman's Dagger and a Broad Sword and put all stats into STR.

Level 40: Return to pay_dun00 - Kill Everything. Put all of your skill points into Bash and One-Handed Sword Mastery.

Level 55: gef_fild14 - Equip your Fisherman's Dagger and kill High Orcs with Bash until level 99 and change to Knight, it should only take 5 - 6 kills. Avoid Orc Archers, even though you can kill them easy enough, their range and damage can make them annoying to deal with. Also watch out for Orc Hero he will kill you extremely quickly at this level.

-Knight-
Return to gef_fild14 and kill 1 more High Orc to get enough job levels to rebirth.

-High Novice-
Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton. Still avoiding Zombies as they can still hit hard at level 1.

-High Swordsman-
Repeat Swordsman leveling step but only increase your STR to 75 and then put the rest of your stats into AGI. Use Bash until your ASPD is 193. Once you reach job level 40, change to a Lord Knight.

Level 40: Return to pay_dun00 - Kill Everything. Put all of your skill points into Bash and One-Handed Sword Mastery.

Level 55: gef_fild14 - Equip your Fisherman's Dagger and kill High Orcs until job level 40.

-Lord Knight-

Return to gef_fild14 and kill 1 more High Orc. As you now have access to Bowling Bash and Two-Hand Quicken. Once you attain 193 ASPD build up to 150 DEX so that you can instant cast your Bowling Bash. The advantage of Bowling Bash is that it is AoE and its skill delay is the same as your ASPD so you can spam it as fast as you can click. After you reach 150 DEX put the rest of your stats into STR.

Level 99: in_sphinx4 - Equip your Broad Sword and focus on killing Anubis as they will give ~1.5 levels per kill. If you are struggling to kill it, you may find it easier if you use Berserk when near death to heal yourself. Nothing here aside from Anubis itself should be able to kill you, just try to avoid getting too mobbed.

Level 115: thor_v02 - Try to find an Imp on its own. These are excellent exp and are pretty quick to kill. Watch out for Fire Bolt, be sure to use Endure for the extra MDEF. Try to Avoid Salamanders, Sword Guardians and Bow Guardians as they will be too strong for your current level.

Level 130: thor_v03 - Start off by trying to 1v1 a Kasa, by now you should have enough DEX to spam Bowling Bash which should bring them down quickly. They can use Reflect Shield which may bring you low if you are struggling to survive add a few points into VIT to mitigate the reflect damage, otherwise use the same strategy as with Anubis by using Berserk when you are low to fully heal yourself. Keep avoiding Salamanders, Sword Guardians and Bow Guardians unto you get to Level 150. After reaching Level 150 you will be able to handle Salamanders 1v1 quite well. After a few more levels if you use Parrying as well as Endure you will be able to mob them together to level extremely quickly. Once you get your STR close to max you should be able to kill everything on site at with extreme ease and you will reach 500 shortly after.

-=Paladin=-

Estimated Time: 30 - 45 minutes.

Overview

As the main tank of the game it goes without saying that Paladins have many ways to mitigate the damage they receive. They can either completely prevent the damage with Auto Guard or greatly reduce the damage of all ranged damage with Defending Aura allowing them to take hits better than any other class. Paladins also have the capability to use a wide variety of supportive skills to either weaken their enemies with Pressure and Gospel, or help protect their allies with Providence and Devotion. Their outstanding tanking and support abilities make them one of the core classes required for a guild to WoE. Paladins also have access to some powerful holy elemental skills which we will be using in this guide to reach max level extremely quickly.

Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

-Swordsman-
Go to the mall at @go 39 and purchase a Fisherman's Dagger, a Mirror Shield and two Rosary. The Mirror Shield and Rosary will help to reduce damage you inflict on yourself with Grand Cross. Put all stats into STR.

Level 40: Return to pay_dun00 - Kill Everything. Put all skill points in Bash and One-Handed Sword Mastery.

Level 55: gef_fild14 - Equip your Fisherman's Dagger and kill High Orcs with Bash until level 99 and change to Crusader, it should only take 5 - 6 kills. Avoid Orc Archers, even though you can kill them easy enough, their range and damage can make them annoying to deal with. Also watch out for Orc Hero he will kill you extremely quickly at this level.

-Crusader-
Return to gef_fild14 and kill 1 more High Orc to get enough job levels to rebirth.

-High Novice-
Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton. Still avoiding Zombies as they can still hit hard at level 1.

-High Swordsman-
Raise your STR to 75 and then repeat Swordsman leveling steps until you reach job level 40 and change to a Paladin.

Level 40: Return to pay_dun00 - Kill Everything. Put all skill points in Bash and One-Handed Sword Mastery.

Level 55: gef_fild14 - Equip your Fisherman's Dagger and kill High Orcs until job level 40.

-Paladin-
Return to gef_fild14 and kill a couple more High Orcs. You need enough skill points to get Auto Guard and Grand Cross to level 10. All other skills are optional. Raise your VIT to 50, INT to 75 and put the rest of your stats into DEX. Slowly raise your DEX until you can instant cast Grand Cross. Equip your Mirror Shield and Rosary.

Level 99: in_sphinx04 - Use Grand Cross to kill Anubis. At first you will only be able to handle one Anubis at a time but as you slowly decrease the cast time you will be able to handle more. After you can instant cast Grand Cross put all stats into INT. While Grand Cross' damage is increased by both ATK and MATK, INT will add to your MDEF, reducing the damage you inflict on yourself. Adding more stats into STR will only kill you quicker. You can also decrease the damage you receive by using Endure to increase your MDEF temporarily.

Level 125: abbey02 - Grand Cross all Ragged Zombie and Zombie Slaughters all the time.  Due to their undead element they will take massive damage and will add some easy levels. Continue to add more INT during this process. Grand Cross is intended to be used against multiple targets. Don't be scared, use Auto Guard and Endure and try to find a nice size mob and kill them all at once. Try to avoid Fallen Bishop Hibram as he will ruin your day.

Level 150: abbey03 - GRAND CROSS!! By now you should have enough INT to burst down Necromancers with relative ease. Follow the previous advice by using Auto Guard and Endure and charging into a decent size mob. If you are unlucky you will encounter Beelzebub, try to avoid the lord as much as possible

Level 230: thor_v03 - Use Magnum Break to kill Kasa and Salamanders ...... Actually, just use Grand Cross everything, you will kill all mobs in 2-3 casts of your holy might. Try to gather a decent amount with Auto Guard and Endure on and you will surprise yourself how well you survive. The only thing that will kill you is Ifrit, avoid him at all costs as he will annihilate you instantly.

Once your INT is maxed you may spread the rest between STR and VIT. A good way to make sure you don't kill yourself is for every 100 STR you add, add another 25 VIT. After this you will reach 500 in no time!

-=High Wizard=-
Estimated Time: 20 - 35 minutes.

Spoiler

Overview

The great High Wizard has the largest AoEs out of any class with a huge amount of MATK to back it up, these two combinations make them a powerful enemy in WoE and Battlegrounds. It also makes them the best class to farm items with allowing them to clear large waves of mobs easily. High Wizard's Storm Gust also has a high chance to freeze enemies which is greatly useful for PvE and PvP. They also have the skill Ganbantein which can be used to cancel all other ground targeted skills which can be vital in WoE and Battlegrounds. In this guide we will be using their great AoE damage to level extremely quickly.

-Mage-
Go to the mall at @go 39 and purchase an Arc Wand and equip it.

Level 40: pay_dun00 - Kill at least 1 more Familiar or Skeleton. Raise your INT to 50 and put the rest of your stats into DEX.

Level 50: ein_fild04 - Try to find some Geographers on their own and kill it with Fire Bolt this will get you to level 99 quickly. Go to Caspen and change to a Wizard.

-Wizard-

Return to ein_fild04 and kill 1 more Geographer. You will now have enough job levels to rebirth.

-High Novice-
Equip your Main Gauche.

Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

-High Mage-

Purchase 100 Blue Gemstones from the Convenience Shop at Caspen 132 196. Due to Mage and High Wizard having a vast skill pool, in order to max all skills you will need to spend some extra time as a Mage.

Level 40: pay_dun00 - Kill at least 1 more Familiar or Skeleton. Raise your INT to 50 and put the rest of your stats into DEX. Max Fire Bolt and Safety Wall and equip your Arc Wand.

Level 50: ein_fild04 - Kill another 10 Geographers and this will get you to around level 90. You should now have instant cast, raise your VIT to 25 to help you survive and put the rest of your stats into INT.

Level 90: in_sphinx4 - Here you will kill Anubis, you will honestly struggle to survive against Anubis but try to find one on its own, use Safety Wall to protect yourself and be ready to recast it, should it break. Anubis has a rare chance to cast Jupitel Thunder and push you out of your Safety Wall, to avoid this just hug one of the walls in the maze. Alternatively you can abuse @jump for its invincibility frames to guarantee a free bolt. After you have enough skill points to max most skills on your Mage you will be ready to change to a High Wizard.

-High Wizard-

Level 100: in_sphinx4 - Kill another few Anubis using the same method, max your Storm Gust, Ice Wall and Jupitel Thunder. You can either use Jupitel Thunder to try and pin it to a wall for a quick kill or you can use Ice Wall to separate yourself from it and use Fire Bolt to finish it off.

Level 110: thor_v02 - Now that you have Storm Gust you can kill Imps extremely easily. You won't have enough INT to kill one off with a single cast but you can finish it off after it freezes with Jupitel Thunder.

Level 130: thor_v03 - Kasa and Salamanders are mini-boss so they are immune to freeze and they have high MDEF. You will not be able to kill one without @jump abuse or Safety Wall, you can also use Ice Wall to separate yourself but be careful not to completely wall them off, due to them being mini-boss mobs they will detect it as a rude attack and teleport away. After you raise your INT above 250 you should be able to kill them without @jump or Safety Wall and you will reach max level very quickly after this.

-=Professor=-

Estimated Time: 45 - 60 minutes.

Professor.png.5cc5bc8b648051e11442fe9be8999b76.png

Spoiler

Overview

Professor is a permanent Mage, sacrificing AoEs for strong single target magical damage in the form of Double Cast. They also have some fantastic disabling spells such as Dispell, Spider Web, Land Protector and Soul Burn that can create spaces for them and their allies to take advantage of a previously disadvantageous situation, making them a vital part of any WoE or BG team. With Double Cast, Professors are also able to become extremely proficient MvP killers, only being out paced by Champion or a very well geared Soul Linker. However due to their defensive capabilities they are able to survive much better than both of these classes. Unfortunately the few AoE spells that Professor does have are not that powerful and don't make for efficient leveling, so we will be focusing on 1v1 fights throughout this guide.

Level 115: thor_v02 - Unfortunately Kasa and Salamander have high MDEF so you will have to make do with Imps for now. Abuse Safety Wall for a wall of safety, cast Deluge and rek them with Cold Bolt.

Level 150: thor_v03 - You should have enough INT to be able to handle Kasa by now, try to find one secluded from the heard, and do your Safety Wall and Deluge thing while spamming Cold Bolt. Once you get your INT up to 220 you should be able to handle Salamanders. When your INT is over 300 you should be able to ditch Safety Wall and Deluge, once it's max you will reach 500 not very long after.

-=Sniper=-

Estimated Time: 15 - 30 minutes.

Spoiler

Overview

Sniper is the main ranged physical dps and trapper class, as such they have many ways to kite opponents and defeat them from a distance. Through various buffs they can apply to themselves Snipers can amass a huge amount of DEX that boosts their dps tremendously, when coupled with the fact that they are only one of three classes that can attack with eight out of the nine elements, they can be extremely powerful in PvP. Although Snipers cannot wear a shield to decrease incoming damage, they do have the advantage of not requiring any Kiel Cards in order to spam most of their skills, allowing them to utilise headgear slots more effectively than other classes. Snipers also gain access to a wide variety of traps that when used effectively can incapacitate or immobilise an enemy. In this guide we will be abusing their long range and huge dps to take down high level monsters extremely quickly.

-Novice-
Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

Level 40: pay_dun00 - Kill at least 1 more Familiar or Skeleton. Max Double Strafe and Attention Concentrate.

Level 50: gef_fild14 - You will start by killing High Orcs with Crystal Arrows and Attention Concentrate which will allow you to burst them down extremely fast, just spam that Double Strafe and you will reach 99 quickly. Proceed to change to a Hunter.

-Hunter-
Return to gef_fild14 - Kill 1 More High Orc and rebirth.

-High Novice-

Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

-High Archer-
With the same stat and equip idea as earlier, get DEX to 75, put the of rest your stats into AGI until your ASPD is 193. After you reach max ASPD put all your stats into DEX until its maxed.

Level 40: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 more Familiar or Skeleton and max out Double Strafe and Attention Concentrate.

Level 50: Same deal as pre-trans, luckily Archer does not need many skill points to max all skills, you can change to Sniper as soon as you hit job level 40.

-Sniper-
Keep farming gef_fild14 until you are level 90, you should be close to maxed ASPD by now. Add some skill points into True Sight to increase your damage further.

Level 90: thor_v02 - Imps. The advantage of Double Strafe is that its cooldown matched your ASPD. As long as your ASPD is high enough you can stagger lock Imps easily, if they start to get too close you can Charge Arrow them and then spam Double Strafe again.

Level 120: thor_v03 - At first try to find a solo Kasa, spam your Double Strafe and stagger lock it, try not to attack it on the edge of your vision, as it is a mini-MvP it will consider it a rude attack and warp away. After level 130 you should be able to handle Salamanders as well. Keep stacking your DEX and they will soon die extremely quickly. You will reach 500 in no time at all.

-=Clown / Gypsy=-
Estimated Time: 25 - 40 minutes.

Gypsy.png.3eeb6a962c6c16947e8f7bca28451716.png

Spoiler

Overview

Clown and Gypsy are the twin classes of RO, slightly different variation in skills creating some very different strategies. While both specialise in AoE buffs themed in the form of music, they have varying uses with Clown being more offensively orientated which buff his allies to deal more damage and Gypsy is more defensively orientated which add debuffs or weaken enemies. Both have a wide range of uses that can suit certain scenarios best. Luckily on this server they both gain access to the "ensemble" skills which normally both a Clown and a Gyspy to cast, on Anomaly they can be cast solo adding to their powerful repertoire. They can also be quite powerful offensively with Tarot Card and Arrow Vulcan, Tarot Card needing a bit of luck to get the correct cards and Arrow Vulcan needing some stat investment. Unfortunately Arrow Vulcan requires Kiel Cards to spam so in this guide we will be copying most of the Sniper guide and using Double Strafe to level quickly.

Spoiler

Overview

High Priest as you can probably assume is the main support of the game and their role is to focus on aiding their allies with Heal and various different buffs and annoying their enemies with a variety of debuffs. Due to High Priest being one of the very few classes with a reliable healing skill they are vital in all PvP parties and some PvE parties. Despite being a support class, High Priest is actually pretty easy to level up, they have some very powerful holy element spells that we can use to level quickly.

Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, Avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

-Acolyte-
Go to the mall at @go 39 and purchase an Arc Wand and equip it.

Level 40: pay_dun00 - Kill at least 1 more Familiar or Skeleton. Max your Heal skill and put all your stats into INT and enable /ns.

Level 50: pay_dun02 - Killing mostly Bonguns and Munaks, using Heal you should be able to put them back to sleep quickly. Get enough job levels to change to a Priest and you are done.

-Priest-
Buy some Blue Gemstones from the Convenience Shop at Caspen 132 196, about 100 should be enough.

Level 60: Return to pay_dun02 and kill one more Bongun or Munak and max your Sanctuary skill and if you have enough skill points max Kyrie Eleison.

Level 65: in_sphinx4 - With the massive buff to Sanctuary you can eliminate Anubis extremely quickly, if you struggle to get off a cast, use Kyrie Eleison on yourself until you reach 99 and then rebirth.

-High Novice-
Equip your Main Gauche.

Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

-High Acolyte-
Same plan as last time, this time trying to get a good amount of job levels to try and max a decent amount of skills.

Level 40: pay_dun00 - Kill at least 1 more Familiar or Skeleton. Max your Heal skill and put all your stats into INT and enable /ns.

Level 50: pay_dun02 - Killing more Bonguns and Munaks. Once you feel you have enough skill points change to High Priest.

-High Priest-

For now return to pay_dun02 to get a few job levels so that you can max Sanctuary and Kyrie Eleison. At this point start putting all your stats into DEX, you want to try to get instant cast as quick as possible, put all your remaining stats into INT. You will also need to max Magnus Exorcismus when you get the chance. Buy another 150 Blue Gemstones, these should last you most of your leveling.

Level 65: in_sphinx4 - Continue using Sanctuary to kill Anubis, try to pull as many as you can into one mob. Just protect yourself with Kyrie Eleison and you will be fine.

Level 90: abbey02 - By now you will have enough DEX for instant cast if not you should be close to it. Start spamming Magnus Exorcismus on a decent size mob of Ragged Zombies and Zombie Slaughters, again using Kyrie Eleison to stay alive.

Level 120: abbey03 - Focus your attention on Necromancers, they will be responsible for the remainder of your leveling. Use your Magnus Exorcismus on a decent amount of them while maintaining Kyrie Eleison for some quick levels. After your INT reaches over 300 you will be able to kill a large mobs of Necromancers without the need of Kyrie Eleison. Keep it up and you will be 500 very quickly.

-=Champion=-
Estimated Time: 50 - 65 minutes.

Champion.png.67dd7e398a617a15a82ac83b180bbe15.png

Spoiler

Overview

Champion is a very powerful physical attacker that can punch a hole in any defence. Champion has access to the single strongest attack in the game, Asura Strike. This one attack has the potential to one shot any enemy in PvP and most MvPs making them the most reliable MvP killer. Luckily for your enemies Asura Strike is permanently neutral and very predictable so you will find in most PvP situations that your enemy will have a counter for it. This should not deter you from using a Champion in PvP as they also have the skills Finger Offensive and Palm Push Strike which when combined with Kiel Cards and Body Relocation can make a Champion one of the hardest classes to lock down in a fight. In this guide we will not being using either Asura Strike or Finger Offensive to level up because when you level up after using Asura Strike you do not regain your SP and enemies in thor_v03 have Reflect Shield which will make you kill yourself and not level up at all and as stated above Finger Offensive requires Kiel Cards to be effective.

Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

-Acolyte-
Go to the mall at @go 39 and purchase a Stunner equip it.

Level 40: pay_dun00 - Kill at least 1 more Familiar or Skeleton. Max your Heal skill and raise your STR to 50 and put the rest of your stats into AGI.

Level 50: gef_fild14 - Try to find a High Orc on its own and beat it down with your Stunner. Be prepared to Heal yourself should you start to get low. If you are lucky your Stunner will stun it and you will get an easy kill. Keep doing this until you reach job level 40 and change to a Monk.

-Monk-

Level 60gef_fild14 - Start beating down some more High Orcs, put some skill points into Triple Attack if you feel like it, you will reach level 99 soon anyway.

-High Novice-

Equip your Main Gauche.

Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

-High Acolyte-

Same thing as regular Acolyte, equip your Stunner and be ready to smack some High Orcs.

Level 40: pay_dun00 - Kill at least 1 more Familiar or Skeleton. Max your Heal and Pneuma skills, raise your STR to 50 and put the rest of your stats into AGI.

Level 50: gef_fild14 - Killing more High Orcs, watch your HP and Heal when low. Change to Champion as soon as you reach job level 40.

-Champion-

As you level up you want to try to max your ASPD, you can then put 50 points into VIT to help you survive the reflect damage from Kasa and Salamanders later on. Put the rest of your points into STR. Max your Triple Attack skill and Body Relocation if you would like to move around a little easier, this is completely optional though as you can use @jump instead.

Level 60: gef_fild14 - Even more High Orcs, with the help of Triple Attack they should fall very quickly and you will reach the next step shortly.

Level 90: in_sphinx4 - With enough ASPD you will be able to handle Anubis quite well but again be prepared to Heal yourself.

Level 110: f_forest - Forest Fairys are excellent exp and drop Treasure Chests so you can farm some easy zeny here if you would like to. You will not have much trouble killing these, simply cast Pneuma on yourself and you will be protected from all their physical attacks, their bolts will still hurt so make sure you are ready to Heal when you are low again. You will need to avoid Dainn, Durathror and Dvalinn as they are a little too powerful for you at this level. You will not have to worry about avoiding King of the Abyss as he is almost always dead.

Level 170: thor_v03 - Finally we can handle Kasa with confidence but you should still avoid Salamander until around 200, with an unlucky critical hit they will ruin your day. Once you start killing Salamanders you will have no issues killing everything else on the map, (except Ifrit, avoid that fiery pain in the butt) it won't take too long to reach 500 after that.

Estimated Time: 45 - 60 minutes.

Spoiler

Overview

Whitesmith is all about the zeny! Show me the zeny! The class requires vast amounts of zeny to use powerful skills with huge ATK strength. Due to this requirement they also have many excellent ways to make and maintain zeny. Whitesmiths also have access to some powerful party buffs that will greatly increase the ATK of their team. When coupled with their excellent movement speed with Cart Boost and ability to slow opponents with Throw Tomahawk and Hammer Fall they can chase down or run away from almost any opponent. It is not normally recommended for your first class to be a Whitesmith with the amount of zeny you start with is not nearly enough to get you to max level so you will have to make do with what you have.

-Novice-
Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

-Merchant-
Go to the mall at @go 39 and purchase a Fisherman's Dagger, a Kindle Dagger, a Jujube Dagger and an Obsidian Dagger. After which, put all stats into STR.

Level 40: Return to pay_dun00 - Kill Everything. Put all of your skill points into Mammonite.

Level 55: gef_fild14 - Equip your Fisherman's Dagger and kill High Orcs with Mammonite, you can also use the buffed Loud Exclamation for the extra STR until level 99 and change to Blacksmith

-Blacksmith-

Return to gef_fild14 and kill 1 more High Orc to get enough job levels to rebirth.

-High Novice-
Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton. Still avoiding Zombies as they can still hit hard at level 1.

-High Merchant-

This time around after you max Mammonite you will want to make sure you max Pushcart and Overcharge, they will help you when you start to level as a Whitesmith. This time only raise your STR to 50 and then put the rest of your stats into AGI, you want to try to reach max ASPD as soon as possible.

Level 40: Return to pay_dun00 - Kill Everything. Put all of your skill points into Mammonite.

Level 55: gef_fild14 - Equip your Fisherman's Dagger and kill High Orcs with Mammonite until you reach job level 40.

-Whitesmith-

For now go to the mall at @go 39 and purchase a Silk Robe and two Rosary and then return to the Convenience Shop at Caspen 132 196 and purchase 400 Phracon and place them in your pushcart. These are not a wasted purchase as you can use them to try to refine your weapons later. You will need to put all your skill points into maxing Cart Termination after which you can start by putting points into Skin Tempering followed by Weapon Perfection, Maximize Power and Maximum Over Thrust.

Level 90in_sphinx4 - Time to start farming Anubis, throw on your Kindle Dagger for some easy kills. You will reach max ASPD very soon, afterwards raise your VIT up to 50 for some survivability and then focus your attention on maxing your STR.

Level 120: f_forest - Here you will be wanting to kill Forest Fairys 1v1. These fairies give excellent exp and also drop two Treasure Box worth 186,000z each when sold. This will allow you to maintain your zeny pool while leveling up so when you start to get low on zeny go back to Caspen to sell them. So to start, equip your Silk Robe and the two Rosary if you have not already done so, these will help you to survive their strong bolt attacks. You will be using Cart Termination combined with Cart Boost and the rest of your buffs to burst them down quickly. You will also need to pay attention to which fairy you are killing, the Green Fairy is Wind element and the Blue Fairy is Water element. So when you are fighting the Blue Fairy use your Jujube Dagger and when you are fighting the Green Fairy use your Obsidian Dagger. The best way to do this is to assign both weapons to your hotbar and think blue = 1 or a and green = 2 or b, or whatever you wish to set them as. You will also need to avoid Dainn, Durathror and Dvalinn as they are a little too powerful for you at this level. You will not have to worry about avoiding King of the Abyss as he is almost always dead.

Level 160: thor_v03 - You will be able to handle Kasa and Salamander solo now, the main problem with these monsters is the Reflect Shield on both of them and Salamander'critical hits. Until your zeny runs out you should continue to spam Cart Termination, make sure to keep Cart Boost and the rest of your buffs active as much as possible. If you find yourself struggling to survive, boost your VIT to 75 and then continue to amass STR until it is maxed. Once you have run out of zeny you will no longer be able to rely on Cart Termination and will have to just melee them down. Hopefully by this point you are close to level 300 and will have more than enough STR to kill them relatively quick. Keep at it and you will reach 500 before too long.

Estimated Time: 55 - 70 minutes.

Creator.png.62057e35388857182d7407af86b0b193.png

Spoiler

Overview

Creator is a potion and bomb crafting, crazy scientist that abuses its concoctions to deal very devastating damage. Acid Demonstration, while locked to be permanently neutral in element, due to its unique damage calculation makes it one of the most powerful skills in the game even with the nerf of it being affected by MDEF. Creators can also summon a wide variety of monsters and homunculi to aid it in battle, these homunculi can be paired with an external AI for some amazing effects. Normally the bottles used for Acid Demonstration take a considerable amount of time to farm, luckily for us they can be purchased from the Poring Coin Shop located at Caspen 164 183. Unfortunately due to you requiring Poring Coins to buy them I will be ignoring them in this guide. However in the case you do have some, follow this guide to the point of reaching a Creator and then get your DEX to 150 for instant cast and put all your remaining stats into INT. Afterwards you may go straight to thor_v03 and spam Acid Demonstration on Kasa and Salamander to level extremely quickly. The estimated time using this route, even with newbie equipment is less than 20 minutes. For the rest of you, in this guide we will be following a very similar path to a Whitesmith however we don't have Cart Termination or any other strong melee skills we can use, so we will be using Mammonite instead.

-Creator-

For now go to the mall at @go 39 and purchase a Silk Robe and two Rosary. You have nothing to focus your skill points on as nothing in the Creator tree will help you to level up quicker, unless you have bottles for Acid Demonstration.

Level 90in_sphinx4 - Time to start farming Anubis, throw on your Kindle Dagger for some easy kills. You will reach max ASPD very soon, afterwards raise your VIT up to 50 for some survivability and then focus your attention on maxing your STR.

Spoiler

Overview

Assassin Cross is a deadly stealth killer that specialises in quick pick offs. Enchant Deadly Poison is an extremely powerful buff that makes Assassin Cross' melee attacks ridiculously strong, when combined with Sonic Blow it becomes a near unstoppable barrage of attacks. Assassin Cross also has a powerful ranged called Soul Breaker that when combined with the correct build can be stronger than some purely ranged classes. Although it is expensive to build up, when using Enchant Deadly Poison and the unique ability to dual wield weapons an Assassin Cross can also become a strong MvP killer that will survive any MvP. Unfortunately Poison Bottles are expensive to buy and extensive to make so we will not be using them in this guide, however if you have any make sure to use them as they will speed up your leveling significantly.

Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton, avoid Zombies as they can still hit hard with custom headgear.

-Swordsman-
Go to the mall at @go 39 and purchase two Fisherman's Daggers and two Kindle Daggers and put all stats into STR.

Level 40: Return to pay_dun00 - Kill Everything. Put all of your skill points into Double Attack and Increase Dodge.

Level 55: gef_fild14 - Equip your Fisherman's Dagger and kill High Orcs until level 99 and change to Assassin, it should only take 5 - 6 kills. Avoid Orc Archers, even though you can kill them easy enough their range and damage can make them annoying to deal with. Also watch out for Orc Hero he will kill you extremely quickly at this level.

-Assassin-
Return to gef_fild14 and kill 1 more High Orc to get enough job levels to rebirth.

-High Novice-
Level 1: pay_dun00 - Kill 1 Familiar or Skeleton. Still avoiding Zombies as they can still hit hard at level 1.

-High Thief-

Repeat Thief leveling step, same stat idea and all, STR to 50 and then the rest to AGI. You want to try and get your ASPD to 193 as soon as possible. Once you reach job level 40, change to a Assassin Cross.

Level 40: Return to pay_dun00 - Kill Everything. Put all of your skill points into Double Attack and Increase Dodge.

Level 55: gef_fild14 - Equip your Fisherman's Dagger and kill High Orcs until job level 40 and max what ever skills you like.

-Assassin Cross-

As stated in the overview, Assassin Cross is the only class that can dual wield weapons which allows for some high damage without much stat investment. Unfortunately this comes with the penalty of greatly lowering your ASPD but we can get around that by building more AGI. Alternatively you can use Awakening Potions to mitigate the penalty although it is not necessary.

Level 70: gef_fild14 - For now return to killing High Orcs so that you can build some skill points and gain some quick levels.

Level 90: in_sphinx4 - Equip both of your Kindle Daggers to greatly increase your damage against Anubis, try to find one on its own and simply melee it down. Unfortunately Assassin Cross does not have many ways to mitigate damage other than with high FLEE, you should have enough to dodge most of its attacks but its magical attacks can still hurt. If you are struggling to survive go to the mall at @go39 and purchase two Rosary. These will help you to survive their spells.

Level 115: thor_v02 - Imps are excellent exp and don't have a high HIT rate, equip both of your Fisherman's Daggers and again just try to melee them down and hopefully by now you are getting close to max ASPD. Again their magic attacks are the main problem if you struggle to survive you can raise your VIT to 50 which will be only beneficial in the next map.

Level 140: thor_v03 - You should have max ASPD by now and will be able to handle Kasa quite easily because of it, start putting the rest of your stats into STR. You should also be able to handle Salamander at around 160, their main problem is that they have high HP so you are more likely to kill yourself with Reflect Shield. After your get your STR above 300 you should have no problems killing anything, just try not to get too mobbed as it will lower your FLEE rate. Keep powering through the tedious 1v1 leveling and you will reach 500 soon.

-=Stalker=-
Estimated Time: 30 - 45 minutes.

Stalker.png.acf5e9dbd9121cb5edaabc96784df3a7.png

Spoiler

Overview

Stalkers are a jack of all trades, capable of utilizing all three types of offensive damage types thanks to their skill Plagiarism. This unique ability to be able to copy any offensive skill can allow for some very powerful combinations that can outsmart, overpower or outplay any opponent. All these different possible play styles make Stalker the most versatile class in the game making them hard to predict which may allow you to catch an enemy unguarded. Stalkers can also move at the maximum movement speed using Chase Walk when linked by a Soul Linker, this often makes them a top candidate for guild leaders as it allows them to sneak into an enemy base and get of an Emergency Call easier than most other classes. As this guide is from a newbie perspective we will be forced to use a physical attacking build due to us not having access to Crystal Arrows from Making Arrow and not having access to Storm Gust without someone to copy off. However if you have some Crystal Arrows simply follow the Clown/Gyspy guide and you will finish in roughly the same estimated time as them. Also if you have a Wizard with level 10 Storm Gust you can talk to the Skill Teacher NPC at Caspen 87 231, he will teach your Stalker any offensive skill that your account has learned, alternatively you can learn it by letting a Wizard friend attack you with it. You may then follow the High Wizard leveling guide but due to your lower MATK your estimated time will be closer to 30 minutes anyway.

-Thief-

Level 40: Return to pay_dun00 - Kill Everything. Put all of your skill points into Double Attack and Increase Dodge.

Level 55: gef_fild14 - Equip your Fisherman's Dagger and kill High Orcs until level 99 and change to Rogue, it should only take 5 - 6 kills. Avoid Orc Archers, even though you can kill them easy enough, their range and damage can make them annoying to deal with. Also watch out for Orc Hero he will kill you extremely quickly at this level.

-Rogue-
Return to gef_fild14 and kill 1 more High Orc to get enough job levels to rebirth.

Once you reach job level 40, change to a Stalker.

Level 40: Return to pay_dun00 - Kill Everything. Put all of your skill points into Double Attack and Increase Dodge.

Level 55: gef_fild14 - Equip your Fisherman's Dagger and kill High Orcs until job level 40 and max what ever skills you like but make sure to put at least 5 points into Steal and 1 point into Hiding.

-Stalker-

Thanks to some buffs to Stalker we can utilize some easy leveling methods, namely not requiring to be in Hiding to use Raid. This will be our core leveling skill as it is actually quite strong, requires only ASPD to spam and has a nice AoE surrounding you as the centre. So make sure to max Raid first, followed by Intimidate, which I will explain why shortly.

Level 70: gef_fild14 - For now return to killing High Orcs so that you can build some skill points and gain some quick levels.

Level 90: in_sphinx4 - We're here to kill some Anubis, equip your Kindle Dagger and try to find one on its own and spam that Raid hard. If you are lucky you will get a stun off and be able to melee it down the rest of the way. If you are struggling to survive at low levels what you can do is use Intimidate instead, every time you succeed an Intimidate on a non-boss monster it warps you both to another location. You can use this to help get one on its own but also every time you teleport to a different location the monster will lose aggro on you, allowing a few seconds of invincibility. You can repeat this until either the monster dies or you run out of SP.

Level 110: thor_v02 - Now onto Imps, equip your Fisherman's Dagger once again and use the same strategy as with Anubis. By now you should have max ASPD, raise your VIT up to 50 to help you survive Reflect Shield later on and then pump the rest of your stats into STR.

Level 135: thor_v03 - Finally you will be able to handle Kasa 1v1, you also won't be able to handle Salamander just yet as they still hit quite hard. You will also not be able to use the Intimidate method as Kasa and Salamanders are mini-bosses. After you get above 160 you will also be able to handle Salamander 1v1. Keep pushing that STR and eventually when you get it to 300 you should have no problem pulling a large mob of them, trust in your damage and you will be fine. You will reach 500 quickly after this.

I hope this is helpful to all who struggle to level up. If I have missed something or made any spelling mistakes please let me know and I will fix it ASAP.

Sorry for any grammatical errors, I am trying to write in US English for US players.

Please feel free to PM me here or in-game on any of the name in my signature if you need some advice.

About Snipers..What do you mean by Stagger lock and Repel Arrow? Cause I can't find what it is in game xD

Arrow Repel is a platinum skill in the Archer skill tree that allows you to knock back non-immune monsters 6 cells. So when monsters get too close, instead of running away you push them backwards.

Stagger lock is simply a mechanic within the game, every time a player or monster is hit they do a little animation where they "stagger" and stop moving. With skills that are highly spammable and hit more than once you can force enemies to become permanently stuck, this is what happens when a Professor spams bolts on you or when Lord Knight spams spiral pierce. Players can null this by using Eddga Cards but it is a wasted card slot so most people don't do it. This also works on some MvPs.

Can i have an Idea what Mobs that can make me lvl up Fast my job is AssassinCross

Hi. It all depends on your level, I would recommend following the AssassinCross section of my guide if you are ungeared.

However if you are around level 150+ and have some poison bottles and some thara cards another great place to level is lhz_dun03. It can be very tricky to level here because you can get mobbed easily however if you come adequately prepared it makes for some very fast leveling.

Hi @Mak21! We have 2 ways to obtain glistening coats for full chemical protection in game.

The first way is to make the the old fashion way by purchasing glistening coat guide from the alchemist guild in Aldebaren! You can read the book for the instructions on what materials you need to hunt / buy and use the pharmacy skill on an Alchemist class to create them.

However!! The easier way to achieve full chemical protection found in game is by checking out our poring coin shop where we have individual FCP scrolls or within our donation shop where you can find an unlimited FCP scroll!

Hope that answers your question.
